Renee came to visit this past weekend – yay! Although we went to the World’s Lamest Zoo, we still managed to have a good time!
Browsing through the Blue-Ray discs, it was a little disturbing seeing the movie “World Trade Center” in the “Comedy” section at Fry’s Electronics tonight. I realize that it was the last movie alphabetically in the genre before the comedies, but someone really didn’t plan that out well.
I can’t believe it’s been seven years already… I can still remember it like it was yesterday.
So I came to work last week to find that I finally have new window-art at my door! Thanks Katie!
Darshan has a strange fondness for the Hostess treats known as “Sno-Balls“. So strange, in fact, that it seemed only right to make a giant Sno-Ball cake for his 23rd Birthday!
This cake involved filling a hollowed chocolate cake with a creamy icing then covering the whole thing with a layer of pink marshmallow creme frosting and topping this off with coconut (which, yes, was dyed pink). Turned out better than I expected it would (and was also easier to make than I was expecting).
Bumbershoot 2008 (day 3 of 3) was awesome today! Death Cab for Cutie played an amazing set; it was all I dreamed it would be and more! The entire day was a ton of fun, other than the fact that I now smell like pot (thanks to everyone at Del Tha Funkee Homosapien). I think I’ll have to get the three-day pass next year!
#1 highlight of the day was during The Offspring this afternoon when crowd surfing was taken to a whole new level as the audience hoisted a wheelchair up above their heads! Yes, the owner of the wheelchair was sitting in it.
