The floats in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade were not quite what I had imagined.  We stood waiting for over an hour and a half until the parade made it down to us, then realized we couldn’t see very well over the crowd.  Megan managed to snap a few photos, which I will try to describe here.

I asked Megan to get a picture of a crosswalk signal in Dublin, Ireland.  The funny video-game-like sounds that the lights emitted made crossing the street feel like a game of Frogger or Space Invaders!

You can find many examples of the sound on YouTube; I especially like this one that demonstrates how little people care about waiting for the walk signal.
